CM visits Pakistan Kidney and Liver Transplant Institute construction site

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid a visit to the site for the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI) here on Friday to review the progress of the ongoing construction. He stayed at the site for two hours and inspected various parts of the institute.

Praising the speedy work on the project, the chief minister said that he was pleased with the speed of the work. The chief minister was given a briefing on the project.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Transplant Institute would be a state of the art institute where poor patients will be provided free of cost top quality medical treatment. He said that the first phase of the project will be completed during the current year which would enable the provision of medical aid. He also directed the parks and horticulture authority (PHA) to make provide landscaping for the project

Shehbaz Sharif also visited the construction site of a hepatitis clinic. He said that the hepatitis clinic will be inaugurated during the current month and such clinics would also be established in other districts. The chief minister was given a comprehensive briefing on the site.

Provincial Ministers Khwaja Salman Rafique and Khwaja Imran Nazeer, the additional chief secretary, Abraaj Group Health Fund Impact Committee Chairman Sir David Nicholson, members of a Korean company and other relevant officials and experts were also present during the visits.
