KARACHI: Pakistan cricket legend Imran Khan has come under fire for calling international cricketers ‘pahteechar’ and third-class in a video that was leaked on Tuesday.
Imran Khan, was very vocal against the PSL final being held in Lahore due to security concerns. But later softened his position and congratulated the public on a well-organised match.
however, speaking to party aides on Tuesday, he said, “I didn’t even know the names of the phateechar players. I think they grabbed some people from Africa and others from elsewhere to claim that they were foreign players.”
The video went viral online where many rushed to defend the foreign stars on Twitter, particularly two-time World T20 winner Darren Sammy of the West Indies, who led Peshawar Zalmi to victory and whose relentless praise of Pakistan has made him a major hit with fans.
