Hrithik Roshan bagged a lot of praise for his recent release, Kaabil, in which he played the character of a disabled man. However, this is not the first time, the Kaho Naa.. Pyaar Hai star has opted for such a role.

Hrithik played similar characters in Koi Mil Gaya as Rohan and in Guzaarish as Ethan Mascarenhas.

While each character was unique in its own way, each role was emotionally challenged.

While speaking to Business of Cinema, Hrithik opened up on how he feels connected to his reel life characters, “Kaabil was a different experience for me personally. Perhaps more than the accolades and the box office success what will remain with me is an invaluable understanding.”

He went on to say, “I perhaps realised for the first time that the phrase differently-abled is not a polite word for disabled people. They are actually differently-abled. I didn’t play Rohan Bhatnagar as a disabled guy; I played a guy who believes in himself. My way of seeing them has changed forever.” he added.

Hrithik and Yami Gautam starrer Kaabil received international praise for its idea of empowering the physically challenged individuals.
