KARACHI: The oath-taking ceremony of the members of Youth Parliament 2017, administered by Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair, was held at the Governor House on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the governor said that the Youth Parliament has been serving as a platform to prepare leaders for the future.
The governor said that 60 percent of the population of the country consisted of youngsters, adding, “They are the hope of the country as they would play an important role for the progress and development of Pakistan”.
He further said that the gates of the Governor House would remain open for the youth.
Muhammad Zubair lauded the role of the Youth Parliament and opined that through this movement the youngsters would be able to serve their respective areas in an effective manner.
The governor suggested the setting up of chapters of the Youth Parliament in academic institutions.
