Riding on what was their first 50-run stand of the series, Zimbabwe strolled to a comfortable seven-wicket win in the fourth One-Day International to level the five-match series against Afghanistan 2-2 at the Harare Sports Club on Friday (February 24).

In yet another rain-affected match, the encounter was reduced to a 42-over-a-side affair with the hosts needing to score an adjusted target of 105 to win after Afghanistan were bowled out for 111. Openers Solomon Mire and Peter Moor put on a 79-run stand in 14.5 overs to take Afghanistan out of the game. By the time Mohammad Nabi, the most effective bowler for Afghanistan in the match (2 for 11), was brought into the attack in the 13th over, the openers had wiped off 73 runs from the target.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Moor stood steady and took the hosts comfortable across the finish line with an unbeaten 36, with southpaw Sean Williams giving him company at the other end.
