A spokesman for the Punjab Cooperative Board for Liquidation has said that there was no truth to the news that the board had been dissolved or suspended, as published in national dailies.
The spokesman said that only the chairman of the board had been changed and the additional charge of the institution had been given to the Cooperative Societies Registrar Mirza Mehmood ul Hassan.
According to the spokesman, the Punjab Cooperative Board for Liquidation is active and performing its duties as per routine. Affectees of the cooperative need not worry, he added.
