ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court Friday approved Federal Investigation Agency’s request to begin proceedings to declare Iftikhar Hussain, Muhammad Anwar and Kashif Khan Kamran fugitives in the Imran Farooq murder case.
ATC Judge Syed Kausar Abbas Zaidi approved the FIA request.
The FIA would serve notices on residences of Iftikhar Hussain, Muhammad Anwar and Kashif Khan Kamran and affix the same at public places as well.
The court had, in December 2016, issued non-bailable arrest warrants for all the three accused.
If the accused fail to surrender them before the given deadline, then proceedings will be held to get them declared absconders by the ATC.
Farooq, a founding member of the MQM, was stabbed and beaten to death in Edgware, northwest London, as he returned home from work on September 16, 2010.
