Quetta gladiators defeated Lahore Qalandars in a high scoring match on the back of brilliant knocks by star batsman Kevin Pietersen and captain Sarfaraz Ahmed.
The 11th match of the Pakistan Super League was held today between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators. The match is the second of the tournament between the two sides, with the first being clinched by Quetta in a thrilling nail-biter.
Lahore Jason Roy and Fakhar Zaman gave Lahore a solid start after they were put in to bat by the gladiators. Zaman departed for 47 by Roy made a blistering 51 of 27 deliveries. Lahore managed to put up a total of 201 in their twenty overs.
In response Quetta lost its openers early but were guided by Kevin Pietersen throughout the innings, who scored an unbeaten 88 of 42 deliveries hitting 8 sic=xes in his innings. Sarfarz Ahmed also played a vital innings of 45 of 25.
