Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday said that the people of Indian-occupied Jammu & Kashmir are fighting a war for their independence and survival.
“The Kashmiri people have written a new history with their blood for the right of self-determination. The people and government of Pakistan have always raised their voices against the state sponsored atrocities and violation of human rights in Indian occupied Kashmir. Any refusal of the right of self-determination to Kashmiris indicates weakness in moral, diplomatic and political norms,” he said.
In his message on Kashmir Solidarity Day, the chief minister said that Kashmir was an unfinished agenda of independence. The chief minister said that he wanted to remind Kashmiri brethren that are not alone in this struggle and that Pakistan will continue moral, political, and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people.
