I am a big fan of Cho Ramaswamy (an Indian political commentator) for various reasons like his Tamil and English skills, political acumen and above all, his undisputed theatrical talent.
I had observed that his dialogue in Tamil movies was always humorous, challenging and interesting. Down the years, he had come a long way in terms of spreading political message through Tamil movies, educating the people through his Tamil magazine Thuglak and catering to the knowledge needs of the people through writing.
His presence was the most sought-after in Chennai, India in that I had seen many posters in Chennai adoring him when I had been doing my college project there in the years like 2001 and 2002.
Though the Tamil society is missing Cho now, his presence will always be felt through the many sides of his creation – such as his writing and Tamil movies.
