After the governments of Sindh and Punjab decided to spring into action and issue a crackdown against mobile-application taxi service providers Careem, Uber and A-One, Pakistanis took to Twitter to vent their anger at the predicament.

Like always, social media has proved to be the best platform to show how they feel. All the tweets poke fun, anger and sarcasm at the irony of the situation–the provincial governments providing the public with below-par transport facilities and banning those which promised–and delivered–to the customer.

  1. Where are fitness certificate for third class taxi cars of model 1977 and 80s???This Careem and Uber service is helping so much in giving relief to all female students and female employees plus all of us. You just cannot compare your third class taxi who are allowed by you of model 1977, model 1980 etc with a very advanced careem and uber. It is an atomic bomb from your side to destroy people life and welfare by banning careem and uber
