SYDNEY: Sharjeel Khan blazed away to 74 off 47 balls before holing out to deep midwicket off Adam Zampa in Pakistan’s chase of 354 in Sydney.

Australian captain Steve Smith won the toss and elected to bat in the fourth one-day international against Pakistan at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday.

Australia enter the match with a 2-1 in the five-game campaign, meaning Pakistan must win to keep the series alive.

Australia made two changes to the side that won at the WACA. Having been rested from the Perth game, Mitchell Starc returned at the expense of Billy Stanlake, while legspinner Adam Zampa was included for the first time in the series, replacing allrounder James Faulkner.

“It’s been hard to fit him in,” Smith said of Zampa. “We’ve got a couple of spinning options in Travis Head and Glenn Maxwell there as well if we need him. It looks like quite a dry surface and a good opportunity for Zamps to come into the team.”

Pakistan made only one change, Azhar Ali passed fit after missing the previous two games with a hamstring injury. He will return to the top of the order and take back the captaincy duties from his stand-in Mohammad Hafeez, while Asad Shafiq was squeezed out of the side.
