Scholarship for minority students soon: Jeevan

KARACHI: Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Minority Affairs Dr Khatu Mal Jeevan on Sunday announced that Shaheed Banazir Bhutto Scholarship for students belonging to minority community would be launched soon which will be awarded on merit cum poverty basis who are enrolled in universities, colleges and schools of public sector.

He said this while talking to a delegation of minority students belonging to the different educational institutions which called on him at his office. In first phase, Jeewan advised students of public sector universities to submit their scholarship forms through their universities as early as possible at the Minority Department’s office located at Sindh Secretariat 4-A, Block-12.

He said that Sindh Government has tried its best to take all the measures to provide education opportunities to the talented needy students. He said that it was the priority of government to provide quality education to all the students irrespective of their religion and cast. He further elaborated that Sindh Education Department was also providing funds to the talented and needy students through endowment funds.
