A police constable and ASI were injured while a rickshaw driver was killed during a grenade attack and firing by some unknown motorcyclists within the jurisdiction of North Nazimabad.
The sources said that in North Nazimabad, block N’, some unknown motorcyclists attacked Taimoori police station with hand grenade. The blast occurred alongside wall of the police station. Resultantly, ASI Iqbal, standing outside the police station sustained injuries and the suspects managed to escape from the scene.
After some distance apart from police station, near Five Star Chorangi, they targeted a traffic police constable who also sustained bullet injuries.
A nearby rickshaw driver, Ali Imran when tried to catch these suspects, they opened firing at him. As a result he died on the spot while the accused once again managed to escape.
Sindh IG AD Khawaja sought detailed report of the incident from DIG West. Police have registered a case and started an investigation.
