Karachi Commissioner assures improved civic situation in coastal region

Karachi Commissioner Ejaz Ahmad Khan on Tuesday said that problems faced by residents of the coastal areas of Karachi will be solved permanently.

During his visit to Ibrahim Hyderi, he said that in compliance with the directives of Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, measures are being adopted for development work in the suburban areas, including coastal villages that fall within the jurisdiction of Karachi.

“Cleanliness, along with education and healthcare facilities are being accorded top priority in these areas,” he said.

Accompanied by Malir Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Ali Shah, the assistant commissioner of Ibrahim Hyderi, officials of the education and health departments, KMC, KWSB, and other civic agencies, he took a round of Ibrahim Hyderi Girls College.

He also a announced the formation of a committee headed by Malir DC Muhammad Ali Shah and comprising notables of the area as well as concerned officials to help solve problems faced by the residents of Ibrahim Hyderi.

The commissioner directed the committee to submit their report to him in a week’s time so that work may be initiated to solve the problems of the residents in accordance with the committee’s recommendations.
