Provincial Minister for Information and Excise and Taxation Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman on Sunday said that Pakistan was founded by Quaid-e-Azam to safeguard interests and future of Muslims and Muhammad Nawaz Sharif made this state an atomic power.
He expressed this while addressing the ceremony held in connection with Christmas, birth anniversary of the Quaid-e-Azam and birthday of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at his residence.
A large number of people, including Christians, PML-N workers, local bodies’ representatives and notables of the area attended the function.
He said it has been reassuring that the mega project of CPEC would give further strength as well as enhance the international role of Pakistan under the leadership of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
He said that “25th December gave us the message of peace, harmony, love and equality. It also teaches us peaceful co-existence and hope of a better future as Pakistan is run by the leadership of PML-N.”
“Credit goes to Quaid-e-Azam that he had secured our future through this country so that we could flourish and prosper as a nation,” the minister said.
He said that Pakistan had emerged as an important player through the CPEC in the region and this project would open many new opportunities for the Pakistani nation in days to come, adding “unity and national coherence were the basis of our strength as a nation”.
Earlier, he cut the cake to commemorate the Christmas, birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam and birthday of the PM.
