Establishment Division reshuffles top bureaucrats

• Notification issued when the PM is visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina

Late Wednesday, Establishment Division issued multiple notifications for transfer and posting of top federal bureaucrats in different ministries and divisions. Around 10 secretaries and additional secretaries serving in BS-22 and BS-21 on important posts were assigned new postings, given additional charges or transferred to new ministries.

They include:

Shahid Ashraf Tarar, Chairman National Highway Authority, has been given additional charge of Secretary Communication.

Former Karachi Commissioner, Shaikh Ahmed Siddique has been transferred to head National Security Division as secretary.

Peer Baksh Jamali, who served as Director, Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority, has been posted as Secretary Kashmir Affairs Division.

Secretary, National Heritage and Literary Heritage, Mohsin Haqqani, has been directed to report to Establishment Division, awaiting further posting.

Mr Khizer Hayat Khan, a BPS-22 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service, who was posted as Secretary Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Division, has been transferred as Managing Director, Public Procurement Regulatory Authority under Cabinet Division.

Rabiya Adila Javeri, a BS-21 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service, who was serving as Secretary Trade Development Authority (TDAP) has been posted as Additional Secretary (In-charge), Human Rights Division.

Managing Director, Public Procurement Regulatory Authority, Amir Hasan, a BS-22 officer of Secretariat Group, has been transferred to head National History and Literary Heritage Division.

Another senior officer of Secretariat Group, Mirza Sohail Amir, who was posted as Secretary, Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony Division, has been posted as Secretary, Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Division.

Secretary, Communication Division, Khalid Masood Chaudhary, a BS-22 officer of Pakistan Administrative Services, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Religious Affairs Division.

Syed Iftikhar Hussain has been posted as Secretary, Federal Ombudsman.

It is pertinent to mention here that the transfers and postings come at a time when Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is away from the country on a visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
