Sindh Minister for Population Welfare Mir Mumtaz Hussain Jakhrani on Tuesday paid surprise visits to the reproductive health services centres at Lady Dufferin Hospital and Sindh Police Hospital Garden.

According to a statement, he made a round of different sections and wards of the hospitals and checked the attendance registers, cleanliness arrangements, and the facilities provided to patients at both centres.

Sindh Police Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Muhammad Ali Shah briefed the minister regarding the services, facilities, and treatment being provided at the hospital and informed the minister about the shortage of staff.

The minister gave assurances that the problems of both centres would be resolved soon and added that the recruitment process for new staff had been started.
