Ayyan Ali finally appeared before customs court after five months in currency smuggling case, however, duty judge Shakeel Ahmsad adjourned hearing of the case till April 6, 2017 due to absence of Judge Sheraz Kayani.

Earlier, customs court had expressed resentment over continuous absence of the accused. Ayyan Ali appeared in the customs court after the judge warned of stern action against her.

Ayyan, now out on bail, is facing a trial for trying to smuggle $0.5million at Islamabad airport on March 14, 2015, when she was caught.
