Islamabad police along with sensitive agencies carried out a search operation in Barakahu area of the capital in the wee hours of Saturday.
According to details, 23 people including four Afghan nationals were arrested. Those arrested could not produce identity papers.
Arms were also recovered from their custody.
It is worth mentioning that the capital police have been regularly conducting operations in the suburbs of Islamabad and suspected people are taken into custody. Many of them are Afghan nationals who have swarmed Islamabad and have been allegedly involved in many crimes including theft and kidnapping for ransom.
