Young doctor’s protest against central induction policy in Punjab has entered the eighth day on Thursday.
The protest has led to shutting down of Outdoor Patient Departments (OPDs) in government hospitals that has magnified the problems of the patients and their relatives.
Young Doctor’s Association (YDA) has halted their operations and shut the OPSs in Lahore’s Mayo, Services, Jinnah, Gangaram, Children and General Hospital.
Similar is the situation in Multan’s Nishtar hospital, Faisalabad’s Civil and Allied hospital and Rawalpindi’s Benazir Bhutto hospital.
The government has yet not responded to the demands put forward by the doctors.
The tussle between doctors and government has forced the patients to get costly treatment from private hospitals.
