National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has released five directors of a medicine company under a plea bargain who had done corruption of Rs 1 billion in a mega scandal of medicine supply.
Sources said that the accused were freed under the plea bargain law, ordering them to pay remaining plea bargain amount in six months. The accused have already paid Rs 40 Crore which is 34 percent of the total amount.
Sources said the directors of a private medicine company who were released after the plea bargain included Fareeha Malik, Arif Aziz, Amir Siddique, Shafiuddin Feroze, and Ahsanuddin Feroze. They said, initially, 12 accused were arrested in this mega corruption scandal; of these three were released previously and two have already obtained bail from court.
