Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is currently holding talks with the West Indies and Sri Lankan cricket boards to arrange a home series for next year.

According to a source, the board is engaged in discussions to have a series after the conclusion of Pakistan Super League (PSL) final which is set to take place in Lahore.

“Yes, PCB’s top officials are engaged in talks with their counterparts in West Indies and Sri Lanka and hopefully one of these teams will tour Pakistan after the conclusion of PSL,” the source told APP.

No top team has toured Pakistan since March 2009 after the attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team bus in Lahore. However, low ranked sides, including Afghanistan and Zimbabwe, toured the country for a limited overs series.

Earlier, PCB held talks with the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) to play a few matches in Pakistan. But the series could take place due to security fears.
