Roadside blast injures Rangers personnel

A Rangers official sustained minor injuries when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off near a paramilitary forces’ vehicle outside the Sindh Agriculture University in Tando Jam on Friday.

The officials of the force are deployed for the university’s security. The IED was fitted into a bicycle that was parked next to the Rangers’ vehicle on main Hyderabad-Mirpurkhas Road.

Rangers personnel Nasir was taken to Combined Military Hospital in Hyderabad.

A suspect has been taken into custody by the law-enforcement agencies and an investigation into the incident has been launched.
