Police on Thursday carried out operations in different areas of the metropolis and apprehended five accused persons.
According to police sources, police conducted a raid in Rizvia area and nabbed a political party activist. The detained person was shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
Police also conducted an operation in Baldia Madina Colony and arrested three accused involved in street crimes. Police also claimed to have recovered arms from the arrested. Another accused person was arrested from Qayyumabad area during the operation.
Meanwhile, a man was killed by unknown assailants near Tariq Road, police said.
