57 suspects, six outlaws arrested, 240 bikes impounded

Islamabad police on Tuesday conducted search operation in various areas of the city and arrested 57 suspects, a police spokesman said.

According to details, officers of Islamabad Police conducted search and combing operation in various areas and nabbed 57 suspects.  The nabbed suspects have been shifted to relevant police stations and further investigation is underway. During special checking, police also impounded 240 bikes and seven vehicles having no documents.

Meanwhile, Bhara Kau police arrested a thief identified as Mansoor Akhtar and Industrial area police nabbed Rehan for having 12 bore gun. Khana police arrested three accused Faiz, Hafeez and Bilala for having one 30 bore pistol each, while Nilore police apprehended Umair Aziz in possession of 9 mm pistol. Seven professional alm-seekers were also held and legal proceeding has been started against them.

SSP Operations Sajid Kiani has said that purpose of this search operation is to ensure high vigilance in the city and every effort will be made to ensure protection to the lives and property of citizens. He also appealed the citizens to remain vigilant and inform police in case of any suspicious activity around them.
