The Sindh High Court on Monday granted interim pre-arrest bail to the former managing director (MD) of Sindh Small Industries Abdul Hai Dhamra by December 13th, and restrained the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from arresting him.

Dhamra has been nominated by the NAB in an inquiry into the alleged illegal auction of commercial bungalows and plots in regional offices of Larkana, Sukkur, and Hyderabad.

The NAB informed a Division Bench of SHC that the commercial bungalows of regional office Larkana have been auctioned unlawfully.

Dhamra, seeking pre-arrest bail, submitted a petition saying that he had nothing to do with any corruption. He said that the charges being levelled against him were baseless and that he is apprehensive of his arrest by the NAB.

A division bench approved his interim pre-arrest bail against a surety bond of Rs 7,50,000 and directed him to submit his original passport with the Nazir of the court.
