IGP for contingency security plan for Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH)

Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) AD Khawaja has directed that a contingency security plan be prepared for Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) with the coordination of Rangers and other law-enforcement agencies.

A spokesman for the Sindh Police said here on Sunday that the IGP instructed that extra-ordinary security arrangements be made for Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH). The IGP further directed that all the stakeholders should be taken onboard for promoting inter-faith harmony and cohesion.

He said that the action be taken against provocative speeches, pamphlets, wall-chalking and other such material and implementation of loudspeaker Act be ensured. The IGP instructed that strict security be ensured for the main procession of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal.

He also called for beefing up security at mosques, Imambarghas, Madaris, and mazars. A special traffic plan be also prepared to ensure regular flow of traffic on the occasion.
