A special panel of experts of the Henen Kosen Enterprise Development Company of China will visit Pakistan to attend the Sustainable Development Conference being organized by Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) Islamabad on December 6-8.
A statement of the institute reported the Chinese experts would make a presentation on smart grid devices, utilisation of technology, and software. Discussion will take place on different aspects of smart grid systems such as Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Outage Management System (OMS), Peak Load Management System (PLMS), Renewable Energy (RE) Integration.
Pakistan has one of the highest global electricity transmission and distribution losses at over 18 percent and there exists a dire need to introduce smart grid technologies to close the increasing gab between demand and supply, and tap the enormous renewable energy potential.
Henen Kosen’s experts will share their experience in the use of smart grid technologies in China for various maintenance techniques to improve the performance of power systems.
Under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project (CPEC), $ 15.5 billion worth of coal, wind, solar and hydropower projects will be set up, which will add 10,400 MW of energy to the national grid.
The real challenge is managing the upgrades for the transmission, distribution and metering sectors efficiently; this can be achieved through implementation of smart grid technologies.
Its really wonderful and informative post. keep it up and thanks for sharing, keep it up.
