The United States of America has urged Pakistan and India to hold dialogue for improving cooperation against a common threat of extremism and terrorism.
State Department Spokesman John Kirby on Wednesday during a daily media briefing said that the US government would continue to have conversations with both countries about the extremist threat that resides inside of their own borders.

He said Pakistani leaders know all too well the threats of extremism and terrorism inside their own borders because they’ve lost too many soldiers and citizens.
While replying to a question about the killing of soldiers and civilians on both side of the border during the last couple of months said, “We’re certainly aware of them. And in at least one case, investigations are just now beginning. We want to respect that process.”
