In Pakistan today, to be a doctor has become a hard nut to crack. There are very few government medical colleges. These are the ones who are affordable for everyone. But their merit is so high that those scoring 88-98% aggregate are enrolled there. Rest, are the private colleges which are not affordable for all. Their fee structure is almost 10 lakh per year and this is too much for middle class.
My question is that why education has been made limited to the upper class only? Why a student who is talented but not rich is not allowed to study medical and pursue his career goals? Every year more than 40,000 students appear in MCAT test with a hope that they might get into medical college. Unfortunately, hardly 3,500 are enrolled. This is a sad fact that the dreams of 36500 students are shattered every year just because they aren’t rich. Choosing medical as a goal has become a joke now. It’s very heart wrenching that all of your effort and hard work of almost 12 years is drained away on the basis of one single Entrance test.
Education is a necessity so it should be made possible for every one whether poor or rich. Either number of government colleges should be increased or the rates of private medical colleges shall be made low so that more students can learn what they want. At least, in educational field this discrimination of social status should be omitted as soon as possible.

Exactly! I also used to think in a same manner and got hurt many times by evaluating the education system in Pakistan and not only in Pakistan but many other developing countries also facing same problems which should needed to be solved by the government of developing countries.
