An earthquake jolted parts of Pishin and surrounding areas in Balochistan on Monday morning, the National Seismic Monitoring Centre reported. Its intensity was recorded at 3.9 on the Richter scale.
The earthquake struck 65 km from Quetta with its epicentre at Khanozai, Balochistan. It hit 25 km below the surface, the monitoring agency said.
People came out of their homes and offices but there were no reports of any loss of life or property.
Last week an earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck upper parts of Pakistan, triggering fear and panic. The tremors were felt in Kohat, Abbottabad, Shangla, Dir Bala, Lower Dir, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and other parts of Pakistan.
