A ban has been imposed on vehicles weekly bazaar (Jumma Bazaar) on Murree road, Rehman Abad and its surrounding areas in Rawalpindi.
Police have arrested several persons under charges of setting up vehicles weekly bazaar and cases have been registered against them for violating section 144.
14 cases were registered against those who were involved in selling vehicles in weekly bazaar on Murree road.
DCO Rawalpindi Talat Gondal had imposed section 144 for two weeks. CTO Rawalpindi Shahid Yousuf along with police and traffic wardens took action against violators of section 144.
The illegally vehicles weekly bazaar is not only hampering the traffic flow on Murree road but also has become a source of nuisance for the residents of the localities alongside Murree road.
