The United States Department Spokesman John Kirby said that the US is in close communication with Pakistan and India over rising tension between the two countries.
The spokesperson urged both the countries to work bilaterally to try to reduce tensions.
“The new US administration will devise a new policy for South Asia,” Kirby said.
