Government College of Science’s Professor Rao Altaf was fatally gunned down in broad daylight by ‘unknown assailants’ in Lahore’s Iqbal Town on Tuesday (today).
Professor Rao Altaf Hussain of Government College of Science, Wahdat Road was killed when his car was fired upon by armed motorcyclists.
Hussain was returning home after dropping off his son at school when the incident occurred. The professor’s body was later shifted to Mayo Hospital, Lahore.
Meanwhile, police have collected evidence from the site and started the investigation. The law enforcement agency is also trying to access closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage of the incident.
