Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) and Pakistan Railways would arrange special tourism train ‘Sada Salamat Pakistan’ from Rawalpindi to Karachi on the pattern of Azadi Train from December 25.

Managing Director PTDC Ch Abdul Ghafoor told APP that the credit goes to Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique to extend cooperation for promotion of tourism industry in the country.

He was hopeful that ‘Sada Salamat Pakistan’ train would attract a huge number of people across the country from Rawalpindi to Karachi.

He said that PTDC would establish tourism facilities at all railways stations to boost tourism sector.

He said that there was a large room for cooperation between these two organisations as tourism and mass transit go side by side.

He said that Railway is safe and affordable mode of transportation and added that the present government is committed to promote tourism industry and also restore trust of the foreign tourists.

He said that rise in domestic tourism is a good sign for tourism sector and PTDC would establish more facilities and Tourism Information Centres across the country to facilitate tourists.

  1. Even if my comments are deleted. It is more than true that the Tourism Industry in Pakistan has reduced to Zero and ALL know the reasons. And it was Ahsan Iqbal – the Federal Minister who said last month that the performance of the Pakistan Railways has gone down by 60% – not me.
