A 14-year-old girl lodged a written application with the local police saying that her mother had forcefully married her off to a 60-year-old man in Gujranwala.
According to a private TV channel report, a widow, resident of Ali Pur Chatta, had arranged marriage of her 14-years-old daughter with 60 year-old man.
The application filed by the girl alleged that her mother arranged her marriage for Rs 2500, and that she did not want to live with her husband.
Sources said that the affected girl managed to escape after her marriage and reached the house of her relatives.
