A notorious robber with half-a-million rupee head bounty was killed in police encounter here on Wednesday.
The police conducted operation against the outlaws near American Quarters locality in Hyderabad. The criminal present in the area offered stiff resistance, opened fire at the police and tried to flee.
In retaliatory action by police, a notorious robber identified as Ali Sher Marri, having head money of Rs 500,000 and wanted by police in more than a dozen criminal cases, was killed.
The body of the robber killed in the encounter was shifted to mortuary of a local hospital for post-mortem.
