Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Monday that days of false allegations, telling lies and use of derogatory language are gone and time has come to provide proofs.
Talking to reporters here, the state minister said that “time has come to provide evidence but Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has always failed to provide proofs”.
The minister said that it was court not a container, and nobody could run from here. “In the courts it is all about evidence. In the containers they can only hurl allegations,” she added.
State Minister for Privatisation Muhammad Zubair said Imran Khan failed to produce evidence before the Supreme Court. Addressing a press conference here, he said there was no inconsistency in the court replies and media statements of the children of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
“They exactly said what they had been saying all along about trusteeship, shareholdings and ownership of flats in London,” he said, adding that the Sharif family would present all the relevant documents about ownership and purchase of flats in the court next week.
PML-N leader Talal Chaudhry said the government would win the battle inside the court as well, adding that the PTI would not win against the PML-N even in the Supreme Court.
PML-N leader Danyal Aziz said that Imran Khan should also provide all details in the court about his offshore company Niazi Services Limited, losses in offshore companies and dealings with Indian businessmen. “Imran Khan has to answer about irregularities in tax returns, property in Bani Gala and an apartment in Grand Hyatt in Islamabad,” he added.
PTI leader Jahangir Tareen said all eyes were on the Supreme Court and the case should be wound up in 15-20 days.
Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed said the Supreme Court would announce the country’s most important decision to date.
