Atif Aslam’s latest music video is reportedly the latest victim of escalating India, Pakistan tensions.

Aslam shot a single with Bollywood actor Ileana D’Cruz in Turkey and was set to be produced by T-Series. However, according to Mid -Day the producers now are not sure whether to release the single or not.

“Since it features a Pakistani artist, there is no way it can be released in the present circumstances. The producers have no option but to let it remain in cold storage. They are hoping things will change in the future when they can take a call,” a source is reported to have said.

Music acquisition head of T-series, Vinod Bhanushali, said the song cannot be released in the current circumstances. “There is no plan to release a music video as of now. Before the release of any single, we always have a plan in place. Right now, nothing is concrete,” he said.

The video was directed and choreographed by Ahmed Khan and was filmed in the ruins of the ancient city of Ephesus, the most visited archaeological site in Turkey.

According to reports, Atif was also set to work in an upcoming Bollywood venture for his collaboration with the Grammy award-nominated musician Akon for the film Tum Bin 2.
