Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders (ICST) on Sunday asked the government to take all stakeholders into confidence regarding the game changing project of CPEC, as escalation of political tension regarding the project is against the national interests.

Authorities should not allow anyone to disrupt the project which is set to change the destiny of Pakistan, said ICST patron Shahid Rasheed Butt.

He said in a statement that those who were raising objections on different facets of CPEC should be taken into confidence so that the fate changing project could be completed well in time.

He said that politicians of province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan should be taken on board and their reservations should be tackled properly.

Despite global recession and slowdown in major economics the CPEC would create seven hundred thousand jobs while it will add 2 to 2.5 percent to the national GDP, he added.

This project was equal to seventeen percent of our GDP which would result in rapid growth but it require Chinese government’s satisfactions, as well as local and international investors, he observed.

The veteran business leader said that our politicians should know that there was a limit to the patience of Chinese therefore we must shun differences immediately regarding CPEC project.
