Actor Sidharth Malhotra makes sure he balances work and leisure.
Sid, who is shooting with actor Jacqueline Fernandez for their next film, is excited to be taking some time off. He is heading to New Zealand for the second time for a short vacation.
Sid last visited the country in 2015 and indulged in various experiences, including sky-diving from 15000 ft, Maori war dance – the traditional dance form of the Kiwis. However, the most special experience was playing cricket on a glacier with cricketer Stephen Fleming.
Talking about his upcoming trip, he says, “Kiwi land is the place to be if you are an adrenaline junkie. Skydiving is an experience that you have to live. It cannot be put into words. It just has to be experienced. I loved everything. This time, I am looking forward to doing all the other stuff that I couldn’t do last time. Travelling and learning about new cultures is an enriching experience.”
The actor, who is the Indian ambassador to Tourism New Zealand, recently met the prime minister of New Zealand, John Key and gifted him a handmade lion depicting confidence and power. “My mum was so overwhelmed that I was going to be meeting the Prime Minister of New Zealand. She told me, ‘Be well-prepared and well-spoken. Don’t be nervous. This is the closest I will get to feeling like a Diplomat’s mother’,” he says.
