Pak-China agree to work on security, socio-economics

Pakistan and China agreed to work closer at regional level to address common challenges in security and socio-economic sector.

Both sides also exchanged views on prevailing regional and global issues including Afghanistan, Kashmir and South Asia.

This was agreed during a meeting between Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi who met on the sidelines of 15th SCO Heads of Government Council meeting in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

The two leaders held detailed discussions on the entire range of bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction on the progress so far achieved. They also agreed to continue close coordination at the United Nations and other multilateral forums.

Pakistan thanked China for its support in becoming the full member of the SCO.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated that China appreciates Pakistan’s contribution to fight terrorism, extremism and separatism and opposes any false insinuations in this regard.
