The police recovered the dead body of a newborn from Allama Iqbal Town in Lahore after it was spotted by local residents on Friday.
The body was taken into police custody and was shifted to the mortuary of a local hospital.
The police have registered a case to investigate the incident and start the search for heirs of the deceased.
