Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will hear the Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan’s disqualification reference here on November 2.

The reference was filed by Muhammad Talal Chaudhry and six other MNAs seeking disqualification of Imran Khan as MNA under Clause (2) of Article 63 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973.

It is pertinent to mention here that the ECP had served a notice to PTI chief Imran Khan to appear before the commission in person or through counsel on November 2 at 10 am at its secretariat in Islamabad in connection with reference for his disqualification as Member of the National Assembly (MNA).

According to the notice, if Imran Khan failed to comply, the matter would be decided in his absence. As the proceedings were time bound, the respondent was directed to furnish reply also on the date fixed, it added.

  1. Time bound by the ECP for IK.

Meanwhile the terms are about to come to an end for all other cases where there was blatant rigging!

Oh… Article 62? Do PMLN really want to go there at this point?!
