Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway reopens but not for PTI

The highway authorities Sunday (today)  have removed containers from the motorway linking Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Islamabad.

However, heavy contingents of policemen and FC personnel are present on the roads to prevent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers from reaching the federal capital.

Earlier, authorities chalked-out all out efforts to stop caravans of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from entering Islamabad for Nov 2 protest.

To stop processions coming from KP, Peshawar to Islamabad Motorway has been closed at the Swabi Interchange, leaving passengers in suffering.

Reports said barricade have also been put at Mardan and Noshehra.

On the other hand, police in different cities of Punjab have warned transporters against facilitating PTI workers for travelling to Islamabad.
