Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q) senior central leader and former deputy prime minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi denounced the police and FC attack on Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Youth Wing in Islamabad.
He said it has exposed “democracy” of the government.
“History of 1977 is being repeated through torture and violence on women, the rulers through such tactics are themselves spreading lawlessness in the country,” he said, adding, “By playing ‘holi’ with the blood of unarmed women and political workers, they have proved they have no respect for ‘chadar aur char diwari’.”
He said political workers cannot be bludgeoned through torture and arrests, they will come with an even greater spirit and enthusiasm; their way cannot be blocked by government tactics.
