At least eight Afghani border policemen were killed in a Taliban attack on a police check post in Torkham on Monday night, Afghan sources said.
The attack took place at about 8pm, local time, after insurgents stormed the Khaibar check post in Torkham and shot dead eight border police officers, according to the sources.
The Taliban seized all equipment at the check post. Reinforcements were able to retake control of the check post after a few hours, the sources added.
