China-Pak Friendship car rally departs for Rawalpindi

China-Pakistan Friendship Car Rally departed for Rawalpindi Saturday morning after the participants spent a night in Gilgit.

The rally initiated in China with 22 cars and 52 passengers making the journey.

Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman hosted a dinner in the honour of the guests.

The initiative was taken to highlight the significance of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and Silk Route to the region.

The car rally will pass through main cities of the country until its final stop at Gwadar. However, it will conclude in the United Arab Emirates.
