Bollywood director Farah Khan on Saturday said India has enough talent in the industry and we should work with people from our country.

She made the statement while responding to a question from the audience on her views on the ban of Pakistani artists.

“I think from now on, if you are saying we should not work with them, I say we have enough talent in our country and we should work with people from our country,” Farah said.

“What do we don’t have that they have? I think we are far better. So, we would work with our people. I would definitely prefer to take somebody from my country for my movies.”

However, coming to her Bollywood buds Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan’s rescue, she said that the ban should not extend to films that have completed production.

“I think there are a handful people, the not even handful but may be two people we are talking about. They are not important in the scheme of things. When they did those movies, it wasn’t illegal to have Pakistani actors working in Indian movies. The movies were shot at considerable expense and hard work, I don’t think it is fair to ban those movies.”

    • Well, imagine if this person had taken the same position as Salman Khan, should would have been threatened, boycotted by the right-wing Hindu nutcases. To this date, Dilip Kumar (Yousuf Khan) is reminded every now and then that he should go back to Pakistan. Entertainers like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and SRK are told by the likes of BJP, RSS and what not to migrate to Pakistan if they dare speak their mind in "secular" India, which is all but secular.

      • At least Indians being secular have freedom of speech and power to express themselves in India. Indians can discuss and be critical of one another and still live harmoniously. Is this possible any Muslim country? Let me know

        • "At least Indians being secular have freedom of speech and power to express themselves in India."

You meant how Hindus can express themselves, but the other minorities have to face the brunt if they dare speak their mind.
